in the heart of "Vieux Bordeaux"

tucked away in old Bordeaux, in a newly pedestrianized street...

Our restaurant is a stone's throw from the great bell tower, between Cours Alsace-Lorraine and Cours Victor Hugo.

You can sense the very soul of the old town in this sophisticated decor, feel the life breath of the Bordelais soil. Altogether there are three dining rooms, a terrace and a shaded garden.

The first room, in a cellar with vaulted ceiling, is specially for seminars and other meetings.

Then there's the baroque style room: lacquered red with lots of mirrors.

The last one, called the "Petit salon," is very original with its "Mur des terres des vignes".

This wall showcases samples of soil from the main, great vintage-producing vineyards in the Bordeaux region: Château-Margaux, Château-Lagune....In this setting, Nicole and Michel Bordage bring new meaning daily to the art of hospitality.
Traditional, local dishes - improved upon
Our cuisine is generous and imaginative, without a hint of heaviness. It's an uncluttered cooking style, respecting the flavor of each ingredient. Traditional Bordeaux cooking can produce some surprising, original recipes, notably :

Purple plate with spiced foie gras
Scallops pan-fried, beaded in Ras El Hanout
Rosé roasted pigeon,licorice honey émulsion
Mango froth with yoghurt and rapsberry

A wisely composed wine list provides a fine selection of local vintages.

Even the prices will leave a pleasant taste
"Les petits midis régionaux" or "little local lunches" a set lunch menu at € 18  including a glass of wine and coffee.
Plus, there are gourmet journeys to other regions of France: one day in Alsace, the next in Brittany and tomorrow down Provence way.
